Our client is a leading gaming company, based in London, looking for a Training Manager.
Responsibilities
• Work with our client’s current and future customers to help them assess their need for training in the use of software applications.
• Develop a multi-channel training strategy, where those channels will include e-learning, classroom training and ad-hoc sessions (assisted by product experts)
• Act as the curator of training materials (e.g. training session agendas, hand-outs, e-learning software) and establish a policy for these to be maintained alongside the on-going development of our client’s software
• Grow the ability to deliver great customer training by teaching key training skills to technical staff, e.g. Senior Developers, Business Analysts and Product Managers.
• Ensure that company strategy for Information Architecture (including customer-facing wiki sites) complements the needs of end-user training through a close collaboration with the company Documentation Manager.
• Measure and track the success of learning programmes against KPIs, where those KPIs are to be defined and agreed with the Director of Consulting
All candidates must have
• Knowledge of methods to assess the training needs of an organisation. Experience in performing these assessments
• An understanding of the particular needs of delivering external training, ideally with experience in a Consulting environment
• Experience of delivering training using a variety of learning styles and methodologies
• Excellent training skills, including experience of training trainers
• Ability to work closely with customers (internal and external) and software development teams, building successful long term working relationships with both
• Demonstrable credibility and the ability to influence at senior level
Ideal candidates should also have
• Developed full end-to-end training strategies for organisations
• Detailed knowledge/experience of industry leading LMS and LCMS products, particularly Open Source tools e.g. Moodle, Sakai
• Experience of working within a fast-paced dynamically changing software development environment
Recognised industry certification (e.g. CTP, CIP)
