JOB PURPOSE

To support and maximise the growth in profitability by providing effective day to day trading and liability management of football and sports in play markets.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Understand the strategic betting proposition and make in play betting decisions accordingly
• Trade and drive automated odds, manage market risk, in accordance with liability parameters and prevailing market pricing.
• Ensure all in play markets are being actively traded in live with TV coverage and data feed provision
• Maintain in play event through its lifecycle to allow customers best in class betting opportunities
• Act on markets and monitor betting patterns, all to improve profitability.
• Monitor customer activity and trends and feedback to management teams
• Identify technical and operational deficiencies and recommend solutions to the Trading Solutions team to maximise trading
• Evaluate products to improve performance and profitability.
• Maintain internal and external relationships to maximise revenue opportunities.
• Ensure timely and effective communication of all in play activity

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• A football & sports enthusiast with knowledge of prominent players and events results.
• Understanding of types of odds pricing (decimal, fractional).
• Numerate (to include probability), computer literate to an excel intermediate level, and
internet proficient.
• Some knowledge and experience of using software generated pricing.

MUST HAVE at least 1 year’s sports trading experience with a leading operator, preferably in football.
