Job Description
Overall Purpose of Job Role:
Our client is seeking a strong software developer with specific skills in Web Services development in Microsoft C#. You will be a member of a highly skilled team tasked with designing, implementing and maintaining a range of Service Oriented Architecture based technologies as a part of a larger business support tools team. As a company our client is particularly focussed on maintaining a culture that elicits the best from their team. You will be a self starter with strong communication skills and excellent problem solving skills. The successful candidate will be working in a dynamic technical environment on challenging projects with a rapidly expanding global company.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• You will have a track record of delivering Web Services / Service Oriented Architecture based solutions with particular emphasis on both scalability and reliability
• You will work in a team responsible for the development of a services layer for use in a broader enterprise wide system
• Your will have specific experience in Microsoft C# and a deep understanding of the .NET platform, preferably .NET 2.0. - some experience with WinFX / .NET 3.0 would be advantageous
• You must be well versed with contract first development concepts in a Web Services development environment, WS-I and OASIS standards
• You will be familiar with test driven development, and have experience in using the supporting tools for the delivery of high quality solutions
Skills / Experience Required:
•BSc in Computer Science, 4+ years of Development Experience
• 2+ years as a C# developer on Web Services Projects with particular focus on Contract First
• 2+ years of NUnit development experience or similar automated test tools
• Deep understanding of the .NET CLI and the .NET framework, ideally 2.0
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
Desirable:
• 2+ years with enterprise applications
• 2+ years of ADO.NET development experience
• Microsoft WinFX / .NET 3.0 knowledge
• Microsoft ASP.NET, ideally 2.0 experience
• Microsoft MSMQ or similar environment
