<p>Our client is a rapidly growing online-community with more than 2,500,000 members. They are the worldwide leading poker school and operate in 17 languages. <p>In the course of the continuous growth of our client’s company, our client is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant for their office in Gibraltar.</p>
<p><strong>Your Position</strong></p>
<p>In this position you will be responsible for supporting the Financial Controller in ensuring that complete and accurate accounting information is available on a timely basis to enable preparation of monthly accounts and annual financial statements for four Group companies. You will take care of the maintenance of the general ledgers and review all journal entries and key account reconciliations, reviewing the trial balance for reasonableness prior to working with the Financial Controller to prepare the monthly and annual accounts. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with IFRS, particularly in the areas of provisions and contingent liabilities, and intangible assets, both of which are pertinent to the business.</p>
<p><strong>Your Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>• Maintenance of the general ledger, including the Chart of Accounts and Schedule of Levels of Authorisation<br />
• Review of all journal entries and account reconciliations<br />
• Review and analysis of accounting information held<br />
• Assisting in preparation of monthly accounts packs, including meaningful notes and analysis, for the Group companies<br />
• Assisting in preparation of full year-end financial statements for the Group companies<br />
• Liaison with external auditors and collation of supporting schedules and working papers for the same</p>
<p><strong>Your Professional Profile</strong></p>
<p>• A degree in Accounting or Finance<br />
• Professional accountancy qualification, preferably ACA<br />
• 3 years of professional experience, preferably with some experience in the online sector<br />
• Demonstrable experience of statutory financial accounting including production of annual accounts to IFRS<br />
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS, particularly IAS 37 and 38<br />
• Excellent use of MS Excel including pivot tables and Vlookup<br />
• Fluent in English; German would be an advantage<br />
• Very good analytical skills and an affinity to numbers<br />
• An accurate person with an eye for detail<br />
• Ability to work on own initiative and produce high quality work even when the time is short<br />
• A team player with excellent communication skills who is confident to deal with our client’s internal and external customers</p>
