Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

• Take a lead role in delivering PCI compliance, and ensuring its on-going sustainability
• Own the technical operational security procedures
• Be a local technical design authority for BAU changes and project work that may affect the security of our client’s systems
• Act as the Data Protection Coordinator
• To implement policies within the local environment
• Identify and champion initiatives to continually improve technical and procedural security
• Work with 3rd parties to evaluate their security maturity and adherence to relevant compliance requirements
• Demonstrate a depth of industry experience and networking to alert the team to new threats and legislation in IT security

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and sound commercial acumen
• A pragmatic approach to meeting regulatory requirements in a fast moving, entrepreneurial business
• Experience of driving sustained and significant improvement in security processes and procedures
• Broad industry experience of being aware of new vulnerabilities and threat direction
• Significant experience of working in security operations at an online business generating £200m+ revenues
• Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies and security best practice
• In depth experience of technical management, interpretation and mitigation of security vulnerability scans
• LAMP web technology stack and security best practice
• Relevant degree or equivalent in Information Security, Computing or related subject, or relevant commercial experience
