Job Description
Overall Purpose of Job Role:
The candidate will report directly to the Head of Affiliates.
This role is within the Affiliate Marketing Department which provides support to an industry leading online poker site. This position will require the candidate to work closely with both the Affiliate Team’s customer support representatives and business analysts to recruit skilled and successful affiliates.
Our client provides innovative poker software and marketing solutions to the online poker industry, offering a dynamic, creative, challenging and rewarding work environment.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Develop business relationships with affiliate partners, especially in non-US markets
• Ensure a high level of service is provided to affiliates and partners
• Responsible for recruitment, retention and activation of new affiliates
• Increase the number of active/producing affiliate partners
• Conduct comparative market research on competitors’ affiliate programs
• Lead negotiations with new and ongoing affiliates
• Must be willing to travel (approx 4-5 times/year)
• Work with Affiliate Team’s business analysts to optimize affiliate performance.
Skills / Experience Required:
• The successful candidate will have an expert knowledge in poker, and have a thorough understanding of poker-specific affiliate marketing
• Strong sales background required
• Highly organized and self-sufficient
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills with problem solving ability
• Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• 2-3 years of business experience required; poker industry experience strongly preferred
• Strong negotiation skills required
