Position Summary

• To develop & maintain release automation strategies for all environments of the web system
• To manage and maintain local authority for source control, and remote proxies
• To develop & maintain continuous integration environments to support the development & QA teams
• To build releases for front end, middleware and database project development
• To deploy new releases to the development, test and staging environments

Unique Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development
• Solid experience of working in a high volume transactional (e-commerce/trading) environments
• Solid experience of working with near-shore and off-shore providers

Technical skills - Required

• Experience of automated & functional testing for web and client-server Enterprise Software
• Experience of scripting language development (Ruby, Perl, Python)
• Experience of working in a heterogeneous software environment, understanding use of appropriate technologies in divergent environments.
• Experience of working in a test driven development (TDD) & continuous integration (CI) environment
• Experience of working with automated testing tools for cross-browser web applications, below-UI acceptance testing frameworks
• Experience of working with Business facing testing (black box)
• Experience of working with Release & Change management
• Experience of working with Unit testing (white box)
• Experience of working with Source Control tools (Perforce, Subversion, git, Mercurial)
• Solid experience of automated build and deployment processes
• Solid experience of continuous integration environments (CI)
• Solid experience of software development in an OO language
• Solid experience of test driven development (stubs, canned objects & simulators)
• Solid experience of working with (n/j)Unit, (n)Ant, Maven, Teamcity & Ant Hill
