Job Description
Our client is a world leader in monetising sports and entertainment rights in digital media. With some of the biggest global entertainment brands in its portfolio, the group is a consistent marketing innovator since 2000, and a major driving force in the commercialisation of sport and entertainment rights online, on mobile and on TV.
They are currently recruiting for an Account Manager – betting to run all commercial and operational aspects of selected betting distribution partners.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide account management and support to the various internal stakeholders at key distribution partners - typically the marketing, trading and commercial managers of major online betting services.
• To meet regularly with distribution partners and work to ensure the continual improvement of all aspects of the service for all parties.
• To present new and additional rights to partners and drive additional revenue through up-sell
• To deal in an efficient and timely manner with all operational issues that impact on the smooth delivery of the service.
• To collate regular reports and analyse data to identify key usage trends for our clients distribution partners.
• Help develop the strategy of the betting product by working closely with other Account Managers and Product Development team.
• Work closely with internal production, monitoring and operational departments to ensure the continued smooth delivery of live events.
• To encourage ideas on the content for the service and provide feedback into the overall group rights acquisition team on sports rights that could continue to grow the service.
• To assist senior management develop medium to long term strategic plans to ensure betting maintains its market leading position.
Core skills and experience required:
• At least 1 yr betting commercial experience
• Knowledge of pan-European gambling market
• Proven sales ability and presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of, and more importantly a passion for, all sports – especially football and tennis worldwide
• Excel and Powerpoint to at least intermediate level.
• Proven analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Additional languages, especially French or German will be an advantage
• Marketing skills an advantage
• Ability to communicate at all levels
• Good technical ability and a desire to learn more
