Geordies To Be Drinking Newcastle "Phil Brown" Ale?
29 September 2008

William Hill have cut the odds about Hull boss Phil Brown becoming the next permanent Newcastle manager from 25/1 to 16/1; about becoming the next England manager from 50/1 to 20/1, and to win the Premiership Manager of the Year title from 33/1 to 20/1.
'Obviously the win over Arsenal has raised Brown's profile considerably and that, together with the rush of small money bets we have taken for him in each of these markets has seen us cut his odds' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
And Hills have made Hull 4/1 to win at troubled Spurs in their next game. 'If this had been the first game of the season, Hull would have been 10/1at least.' added Sharpe.
Hills make Hull 5/6 to stay up; 5/6 to go down this season.
**Next Newcastle boss (permanent appointment); 6/5 Keegan; 11/2 Kinnear; 7 Shearer; 8 Poyet; 12 Hoddle; O'Leary; Venables.
CRISIS AT SPURS:
JUANDE RAMOS has been cut from 3/1 to 11/4 favourite by Hills to be the next Premiership manager to leave his job.
