With the US mid-term elections threatening to embarrass Barack Obama, William Hill have lengthened his odds of winning the next Presidential Election from 4/5 to Even money. 'If the mid-term elections go the way that is being widely predicted, Mr Obama's odds are likely to drift significantly' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Meanwhile Hills make the Republicans 1/12 favourites to capture the House of Representatives, wiN the Democrats at 6/1; while the Democrats are narrow favourites at 4/6 to retain control of the Senate, with the Republicans 7/1 to take control - and it is a 6/4 chance that neither Party will win overall control.
