Spreadex

Leading financial and sports spread betting firm Spreadex has been shortlisted for Spread Betting Company of the Year in the coveted 2011 World Finance Exchanges & Brokers Awards.
More than 20 financial spread betting firms collated votes via the World Finance website, whose visitor traffic consists of CEOs and key decision makers from financial institutions across the globe.
That figure has now been whittled down to a final four with industry giants IG Index also in the running alongside Spreadex.
Spreadex spokesman Andy MacKenzie said: “It’s a great honour to be nominated in the World Finance awards for the first time and reflects some of the advances we have made in the past 12 months on both the financial and sports side of the business.
“We have now added sports fixed odds betting, including accumulators and multiple betting options, and on the financial side have added ETFs and Daily Future commodity markets as well as cutting the majority of our spot Forex spreads.
“Spreadex is fast developing a reputation as a ‘one stop shop for betting’ with clients attracted to the fact that we are the only website where you can place financial spread trades, sports spread bets and sports fixed odds bets all from the convenience of one account.”
The 2011 World Finance Exchanges & Brokers Awards will distinguish those that have excelled in providing an unparalleled service to their clients whilst building investment strategies that produce proven returns above those of their competitors. The awards will identify the best organisations and individuals in the sector, measured not only by equity, capital, liquid growth and trading volumes but also taking into consideration issues such as corporate governance, transparency and sustainability.
Together with financial results, some of the more important factors are as follows:

- Transparency
- Range of securities traded
- Quality of listings
- Settlement system efficiency
- Technology leadership
- Proof of development and continued progress
- Market leadership
- Corporate responsibility

Award winners will be announced in the March/April 2011 issue. Voting is done through the website (http://www.worldfinance.com) which receives a monthly average of over one million hits.
