Wayne Rooney is 3/1 to leave Manchester United before the start of the next Premier League season according to Ladbrokes. Real Madrid is the 3/1 favourite to secure the striker, with their rivals Barcelona 7/2 second favourite.

Rooney scored 26 goals last season but so far has not been able to hit the next for United in open play this year – having only scored one penalty for the club.

The England striker has been left out of tomorrow night’s Champions League clash against Valencia, a game that United are 6/4 favourites to win with Ladbrokes.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said, “Rooney has not been firing on all cylinders since the end of last season. A poor World Cup and a poor season could see him packing his bags this summer.”
