Harry Redknapp is favourite 6/4 to take over from Capello following Euro 2012 according to Ladbrokes. Capello confirmed last night that he will stand down from the top job so he can focus on his retirement.

The current Spurs manager is sure to be interested in leading his country to the World Cup in 2014 following his passionate punditry in South Africa. Stuart Pearce has been installed as the 6/1 second favourite following a run of good games for his England U21 team.

David Beckham has also made the Ladbrokes shortlist at 12/1.

David Williams of Ladbrokes said, "Redknapp is the outstanding candidate and nobody comes close to him in the betting. Many fans will be glad to see the back of Capello after the recent World Cup and Harry would offer a refreshing change."

Odds for next England manager:

H Redknapp 6/4
S Pearce 6/1
R Hodgson 7/1
S Allardyce 8/1
M O'Neill 12/1
D Beckham 12/1
A Shearer 14/1
A Wenger 20/1
G Hiddink 20/1
J Mourinho 25/1
M Hughes 25/1
G Hoddle 25/1
T Venables 25/1
