Tiger Woods’ poor form sees him head into this week’s US Open as a 15/2 chance to win- the biggest odds he has been for the tournament in a decade.

The world number one has not won a major in two years and Sky Bet customers are divided over his prospects at Pebble Beach. Whilst money is coming in for the 14-time major champion to reclaim the trophy he won by a record 15 strokes back in 2000, he is also being backed to miss the cut at 4/1.

Sky Bet’s golf betting spokesman Steve Parkes said: “The tortured Tiger is very weak industry wide and his price is generally moving out by the day, with the 4/1 for him to miss the cut also proving popular.

“However, he is our biggest loser with punters turning to him to help them to a nice pay day at 15/2; a price that was unthinkable a few years ago.”

In contrast, England’s Lee Westwood heads to Pebble Beach in fine form. Fresh from victory at the weekend's St Jude Classic, he is deserving of the heavy support he is receiving at 12/1 to claim his maiden major title.

16/1 is on offer for Westwood to lead after the first round and he is 25/1 for a wire-to-wire win.
