Vuvuzela2

The vuvuzela may be the soundtrack to the 2010 World Cup but Sky Bet go just 5/1 that the metre-long honking plastic horns are banned during the tournament.

Players have complained that the noise from the vuvuzelas makes it hard to concentrate on the pitch, while fans are bemoaning that fact that they drown out chants and songs.

Sky Bet’s football betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: “There’s no denying that the vuvuzelas makes an almighty din but they have become one of the most memorable features about this World Cup and we think it unlikely that organisers will dampen the spirits of the hosts by banning their traditional instruments in stadiums.”
