Following news that Rafa Benitez has been confirmed as the new manager of Inter Milan, Sky Bet make him 4/6 to see out his two-year contract at the San Siro. Benitez, whose six-year reign at Liverpool ended last week, is 11/10 to leave the club before July 2012.

The Spaniard replaces Jose Mourinho, who won the historic treble with the Nerazzurri last season, and Sky Bet offer 50/1 that Benitez manages to repeat Mourinho’s achievement by guiding Inter to the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles in 2010/11.

Sky Bet’s football betting spokesman Andy Clarke said: "There will be high expectations of Benitez after Inter won the Champions League but they don't tend to change managers mid-season, so if he can survive one year he should last two.”

Benitez is thought to be ready to raid the ranks of his former club this summer and Sky Bet are offering odds on which of his Liverpool charges will join him in Italy. Javier Mascherano and Dirk Kuyt have both been backed to make the move to the European champions and have been cut to 7/4 (from 5/2) and 5/2 (from 3/1) respectively. Benitez must compete with the likes of Chelsea to secure the signature of Fernando Torres (20/1), while Steven Gerrard (6/1) is expected to join Real Madrid.

The betting on who will succeed Benitez in the Anfield hot seat appears to be a two-horse race between Fulham boss Roy Hodgson and Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish. Hodgson has today regained favouritism following a gamble on Dalglish on Wednesday and now heads the betting at 6/4.
