Sky Sports football pundit Jamie Redknapp has teamed up with leading online bookmaker Sky Bet to front their 2010 World Cup betting promotion.
Throughout the tournament, the former England international will provide exclusive video interviews to Sky Bet, including an in-depth World Cup preview and his inimitable insight into the battle for the Golden Boot.
As well as running the rule over England’s chances in South Africa, Jamie will put his tipping skills to the test in his daily ‘Redknapp’s Red Hot Tips’ feature.
And each week, in ‘Redknapp Recommends’, Jamie will make three predictions, which Sky Bet will neatly package into a special accumulator price. What’s more, if Jamie’s treble fails to win, Sky Bet customers who backed it will be compensated with a ‘loyalty bonus’ stamp which will count towards their £10 free World Cup bet.
Speaking of his partnership with Sky Bet, Jamie said: "I'm really looking forward to working with Sky Bet throughout what should be a fantastic World Cup. I'll be offering my selections and opinions on a daily basis so hopefully, with a bit of luck, I'll be able to point Sky Bet customers in the direction of lots of winners."
Jamie will also provide weekly selections for the World Cup version of Sky Bet’s hugely popular and free-to-enter prediction competition Super 6, which offers players the opportunity to win £100,000 by correctly predicting the scorelines of six selected matches.
Following the World Cup, Jamie’s association with Sky Bet will continue during the 2010/11 Premier League.
Sky Bet’s managing director, Richard Flint, said: "Jamie is one of the hottest properties in British sport so we are obviously delighted that he has agreed to join Sky Bet, not only for the World Cup but also for the forthcoming Premier League season.
“His overall football knowledge is fantastic and the insight he will bring every day of the World Cup will hopefully give Sky Bet customers and skysports.com readers the perfect edge to help them back a few World Cup winners.”
