Nadal

There is still hope for England (or Scotland rather?) as Andy Murray prevailed after an astonishing comeback from two sets down to beat the French Gasquet in a tiebreak for the 3rd and then to win the 4th and 5th (6-2 and 6-4 respectively). Cheered on by a crowd swayed by his emotional performance the Scot must now take on the 2nd seed Rafael Nadal in the quarter finals while top dog Federer plays Mario Ancic (the last man to beat him on grass), Safin plays Lopez and Schuettler plays Clement.

As always Betfair is offering the best odds and Federer is currently 13/16 to win the tournament outright while Nadal is13/7, Murray 24/1, Safin 31/1, Ancic 74/1, Lopez 129/1, Clement 219/1 and Schuettler outsider at 229/1.

Paddy Power, notoriously generous with their deals and promotions, are currently offering a Wimbledon 'Free Bet Special': If you place a losing match bet on any match that is decided over 5 sets Paddy Power will give you a Free Bet to the same stake on any other Wimbledon match. Surely worth a punt.
