Sky Bet have slashed Cesc Fabregas’ odds of returning to Barcelona to 1/3 (from 5/6) following reports that the La Liga champions are closing in on the Arsenal skipper’s signature, which has led to a run of bets on a move back to his former club.
Fabregas has long since been linked with a return to the Nou Camp and with speculation that a deal could be finalised before the start of the World Cup, Sky Bet make him 12/1 to be Barca’s top goalscorer next season and go 5/6 that he scores 13 league goals or more (bets void if Fabregas does not sign for Barça this summer).
Sky Bet’s football betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: “Fabregas is keen to have his future resolved before the World Cup and with just 26 days to go, today’s reports have sparked a flurry of hefty bets on him heading back to Barça.”
Another player linked with Barcelona this week is Fernando Torres and Sky Bet make the Liverpool star 8/1 to join Pep Guardiola’s side. Chelsea are 3/1 favourites to sign Torres, while he is a 6/1 chance to join the ranks of Manchester City.
