Following his second Grand Prix victory of 2010 in Shanghai, Jenson Button’s odds of retaining his Drivers’ Championship title have been cut to 6/1 (from10/1) but Sky Bet still make his McLaren teammate Lewis Hamilton 4/9 favourite to outperform him this season.
Hamilton’s second place has moved him up to third in the Drivers' Championship alongside Fernando Alonso and he is 7/2 to take the title.
Sky Bet’s Formula One betting expert Dave Pilgrim said: “Jenson once again made the perfect calls when the track conditions were changing, and is truly considered one of the great drivers of our time. He leads the Championship, but in the outright odds we just favour Hamilton, who may well be more effective when the conditions are warmer and drier around the majority of the summer European races.”
Button led home Hamilton in a McLaren one-two and the team are now 7/4 second favourites (from 10/3) behind Red Bull (6/4) in the Constructors’ Championship betting.
