William Hill are offering shorter odds that John Prescott will punch someone whilst out campaigning during the Election run-in than for him to be knighted. 'We have had to cut our odds for a Prescott punch during the campaign from 10/1 to 8/1 after his already contentious performances during campaigning in the early stages' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe. 'It looks like Mr P could be a loose cannon capable of unpredictable behaviour.'
Hills offer 20/1 that Prescott will be knighted in or before the next New Year's Honours' List.

ESTHER RANTZEN is a 6/1 shot with William Hill to become an MP by winning the Luton South constituency at the General Election. 'Many people were surprised that Esther ultimately decided to stand, but she has been canvassing the constituency for many weeks now and may have stolen a march on the opposition. THE CONSERVATIVES have made the biggest impact on political punters since the Election was called, say bookmakers William Hill, who have trimmed their odds for the second time since then, from 8/13 to 4/7. 'Six of every ten bets we have taken since the Election was confirmed have been for the Tories' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills make Labour 8/1 to win with an overall majority, while the Lib Dems are 300/1, Hills offer 13/8 that there will be a Hung Parliament.
