Sachin Tendulkar has become the first batsman ever to pass 200 in a single one-day international innings and Sky Bet make the Indian star 200/1 to score another double century this year.
Tendulkar passed Charles Coventry's previous world record mark of 194 not out during today’s second ODI against South Africa in Gwalior and Sky Bet now make him 2/1 to be named 2010 ICC ODI Player of the Year.
Sky Bet go 20/1 that Tendulkar’s 200 is matched by any batsman in an ODI this year. Robin Smith holds the highest individual score in an ODI for England, hitting 167 not out against Australia at Edgbaston in 1993 and Sky Bet make it 200/1 that an Englishman hits the historic landmark of 200 this year.
Sky Bet’s cricket betting spokesman Steve Hart said: “To reach a double century in a one-day international is just incredible. It has never been done before so we’ve installed the Little Master as favourite to win the ICC ODI Player of the Year award.”
