Chelsea have been shortened to 7/4 from 2/1 to win the Premier League following the news that Luiz Felipe Scolari is set to become their new manager.
The Brazilian, who will take over at Stamford Bridge on July 1st, is 1/6 to last longer than his ill-fated predecessor Avram Grant.
But bookmakers Ladbrokes are not convinced he will be at the helm longer than Jose Mourinho is at Inter Milan, making the Portuguese 1/2 to outlast Big Phil.
Scolari is second in the betting on which of England's Big Four will part company with their manager first behind Liverpool's Rafael Benitez.
He is 14/1 to win Euro 2008 with Portugal and then lift the league title with Chelsea next season and an unlikely 16/1 to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.
Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "The Scolari news has kick-started the betting on the Premier League and we've had a number of punters already looking to have serious bets on Chelsea."
