Dein270

With David Dein named as President of England's bid to host the 2018 World Cup, bookmakers William Hill have cut the odds of the bid being successful from 6/4 to 5/4 favourites - and offer 20/1 that England will not only host, but also win, the tournament.
'David Dein is well versed in the arcane ways of football politics and will be a formidable leader of the bid, so the news has encouraged us to shorten England's odds, particularly as they have also been well backed to win it' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
WILLIAM HILL - TO HOST 2018 WORLD CUP...5/4 England; 5/2 Australia; 3/1 Spain/Portugal; 9/2 Russia; 25/1 Holland/Belgium; 25/1 Japan; 33/1 USA; 80/1 Indonesia.
