Ballotbox

William Hill have opened a book on what percentage of voters will turn out at the next General Election, and make 65-69.99% their 11/8 favourite.
The last Election in 2005 produced a turnout of 61.4% and Hills offer 9/4 that it will be between 60 and 64.99% this time, with 70% or more 5/2; 55-59.99% 7/1; 50-54.99% 14/1 and under 50% 33/1.
'The current thinking seems to be that the Election will produce a lower turnout than last time out, but we believe there is a good possibility that the turnout will be up as the real possibility of a change of government could make more people believe that their vote will really count this time round' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
