West Ham have reportedly joined the race to sign Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and Sky Bet have introduced the Hammers as an 8/1 chance to recruit the Dutchman.
However, it is Stoke that have been best supported in this market and Sky Bet have been forced to cut Van Nistelrooy’s odds of heading to the Potteries club several times. The Madrid striker is now 4/1 from opening odds of 33/1 this morning. Tottenham remain 4/11 favourites to secure Van Nistelrooy’s services.
Sky Bet’s transfer betting expert Andy Clarke said: “Rumours this morning suggested Stoke had put in a £2m offer for Van Nistelrooy and we took several bets from the Stoke area forcing us to reassess the market.”
