Sky Bet have broken new ground this week by pricing up the PGA Tour of Australasia’s New South Wales Open, which will be hosted by Nathan Green.
The 2009 NSW Open has attracted its best playing field in years and Sky Bet make PGA star James Nitties, who recently came fifth in the JBWere Masters, 8/1 favourite to win. The tournament host Nathan Green is 9/1 second favourite in the betting, with Tim Wilkinson next best at 14/1.
European Tour stalwart Peter O'Malley will be cheered on by a home crowd at the Vintage Golf Club and is a 20/1 chance to win, while former PGA Tour winner Andre Stolz is quoted at 25/1.
Sky Bet’s golf betting expert, John Rhodes, said: “With golf winding down for the year, the Australian Tour is starting to kick in, and Nathan Green has done well in attracting some good players for this week’s New South Wales Open, which is the ideal preparation for the Australian Open.”
