Sven-Goran Eriksson has ruled himself out of the running for the vacant Sweden coaching position and Sky Bet have reacted by slashing his odds of seeing out the season at Notts County to 1/4 (from 1/2).

The Swede is out to 5/1 (from 2/1) to return to international management this season.

Sky Bet’s football betting spokeswoman Helen Jacob said: “Sven has reportedly had several job offers since joining Notts County but so far he seems committed to their long-term plan.

"Given that Sven has now snubbed the chance to manage Sweden, a position in which he has previously expressed an avid interest, we can’t see anything luring him away from Meadow Lane this season.”
