RANGERS are odds on to win the treble despite their heart-breaking defeat in Manchester, Ladbrokes said last night (weds).

The Gers went down to 2-0 but are 4/5 to lift the silverware in the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Cup.

Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "It was a bad night for Rangers and a bad night for punters who backed them off the boards.

"But hope springs eternal on the domestic front and the club and supporters could still have a terrific season and make sure the bookies have a bad one."

One Rangers supporter from Bedfordshire had more reason to be cursing his luck than most after gambling £50,000 on his team to beat the Russians at 5/2.
