Following the news that The Sun is endorsing the Conservatives to win the next General Election, bookmakers William Hill have cut their odds from 1/12 to 1/14 favourites to be the largest single Party and from 1/3 to 2/7 to win the Election with an overall majority.
"Gordon Brown, who according to his wife Sarah gets up horribly early, must have felt like going straight back to bed when he saw The Sun as there is no doubt that their endorsement has a significant effect on the voting choice of their readers. As a result we immediately cut the Tories' odds for the next Election said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills have also cut their odds about Gordon Brown being out of office before the next Election takes place from 13/8 to 6/4 but make him 1/2 still to be Leader when the nation goes to the polls.
Hills Latest General Election Odds
To win Most Seats: 1/14 Conservatives, 13/2 Labour, 80/1 Lib-Dems.
To win with overall majority: 2/7 Conservatives, 14/1 Labour, 11/4 Hung Parliament.
