Lewis

Sky Bet have installed Lewis Hamilton as favourite in their Japanese Grand Prix betting. Although the defending world champion has raced twice before in Japan, he will make his Suzuka debut at the weekend and is a 7/2 chance to get his third win of the season at one of Formula One’s greatest circuits.

Having started on pole for the last two grands prix in Singapore and Belgium, Hamilton is a 9/4 chance with Sky Bet to be fastest in qualifying again in Suzuka. 13/2 is quoted for him to get a ‘race hat-trick’, by starting on pole, recording the fastest lap and winning the race.

Sky Bet’s Formula One betting expert, Dave Pilgrim, said: “Lewis was commanding around the Singapore streets and whilst we expect him to be a force once again, he might not have everything his own way this weekend."

The Brit’s strong finish to the season bodes well for next year and Sky Bet have installed him as 5/2 favourite in their 2010 Drivers’ Championship betting.

With a 15-point lead in the standings, Jenson Button looks to have this year’s championship sewn up and is 11/2 with Sky Bet to be crowned champion this weekend in Japan. Sky Bet make it a 4/11 chance that the World Championship is decided in Brazil on October 18 and 100/30 that it is clinched at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 1.
