Sky Bet report a gamble on Paul Hart in their Premier League sack race betting. Money has flooded in today on the Portsmouth boss to be the first top flight manager to leave his post this season, leading Sky Bet to slash his odds several times, from even money to 1/5.
Sky Bet’s Mike Triffitt said: “Portsmouth’s new owners may now have their own man lined up, especially as Pompey have made such a poor start to the season, losing all four games. There must have been some whispers today for people to be backing Hart to go at 1/5.”
Portsmouth, who were bought by Sulaiman Al Fahim last week and have sold a host of players in an attempt to alleviate their financial difficulties, are yet to win and Sky Bet make them 4/1 to remain winless after their first ten Premier League games. 13/8 is on offer for Portsmouth to get their first win against Bolton next weekend and it’s 8/1 that they first taste success at Villa Park on 19 September.
Languishing at the bottom of the pile, Pompey are 4/6 to be relegated, 2/1 to finish bottom and 4/5 to end the season with fewer than 35 points.
