Investor raises 888 stake FIL subsidiaries bought about 5.3 million 888 shares.
Online gaming company 888 Holding plc (LSE:888) yesterday notified London’s Alternative Investment Market (AIM) that asset management company FIL Ltd. has increased its stake in the company to 11.44%, or 39.5 million shares, thereby becoming the third largest party at interest in the company. FIL subsidiaries bought about 5.3 million 888 shares on August 20.

FIL previously owned 34.2 million shares, amounting to 9.9% of 888.

Prior to FIL's purchases, 888 controlling shareholders brothers Avi and Aharon Shaked each owned 25.9% of the company, 888 founder Shay Ben-Yitzhak owned 10.8%, and UK institutional investor Artemis Investment Management Ltd. owned 6.9%.

888 closed yesterday at ₤0.91, giving a market cap of ₤315 million.
