Following the news that Joleon Lescott has passed a medical with Manchester City and looks set to leave Everton for Eastlands, Sky Bet are offering a number of odds on Joeon Lescott’s upcoming season with City including 11/4 that he scores against Everton in the League. It’s 5/6 that the 27-year-old defender scores four or more goals in the league during the 2009/10 season (5/6 to under 3.5 league goals).
Sky Bet’s Tim Reynolds said: “You have to feel sorry for the Everton manager David Moyes. He tried his best to keep Lescott at the club but with the player himself wanting to leave and the money offered by City, he had no choice but to let the player go. Lescott scored a total of four goals in the Premier League for Everton last season and eight the season before so the 5/6 to score 4 or more goals for City this season could represent some value.”
Sky Bet are also offering a number of debut specials for the England international including, 5/1 he scores, 5/2 he gets booked and 33/1 he has a nightmare debut and gets sent off.
With the 2010 World Cup taking place at the end of the current season, Lescott, who has represented England 7 times already, will be desperate to have a successful opening spell with City to help cement his place in Capello’s squad. It’s 1/4 for Lescott to make Capello’s World Cup squad.
