JESSICA ENNIS SLASHED FOR BBC SPORTS PERSONALITY AWARD
*2-1 FAVOURITE TO ADD OLYMPIC GOLD
After her magnificent performance in winning the world title heptathlon, Jessica Ennis has been cut to 3-1 (from 10-1) by Coral bookmakers and moved into second favourite for the coveted BBC Sports Award ahead of Andy Murray and Freddie Flintoff.
Although expectations were high for the likable lass, this was truly one of the great British performances of recent years, and definitely puts her in with a great chance of adding the BBC award when the public cast their vote at the end of the year, said Coral spokesman Gary Burton.
Coral quote Ennis at 2-1 to add the Olympic Gold in London.
