Following news that Liverpool have finally agreed to sell Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, Sky Bet are offering odds on how the midfielder will fare at the Bernabeu. They make the Spanish international 25/1 to score against Liverpool in Europe next season and offer 5/6 that he bags four goals or more in La Liga 2009/10.

6/1 is on offer for the 27-year-old midfielder to score on his league debut and he is 3/1 to be booked on his first appearance for the new look Galacticos. Sky Bet also offer 33/1 about Alonso scoring from his own half in the Spanish first division this coming season.

Sky Bet have reacted to Alonso’s departure by lengthening Liverpool to 11/4 (from 5/2) to win the Premier League. The Harrogate–based firm have also cut the odds of possible replacements for Alonso, trimming David Silva to 5/6 (from 10/11) to sign for Liverpool and David Villa to 7/2 (from 9/2). Liverpool are said to be already in talks with Juventus about recruiting Christian Poulson, who is 1/3 with Sky Bet to sign for the Reds. Alberto Aquilani is also being touted as a potential replacement for Alonso and is 2/5 to quit Roma for Liverpool this summer.
