RETURN OF THE MACH NOT A GOOD RESULT AS BOOKIES TAKE A BASHING
Bookmakers are counting the cost after it was announced that Michael Schumacher WILL return to F1 and drive for Ferrari as Felipe Massas replacement.
The seven times champion was backed at 5-1 with Coral bookmakers soon after Ferrari announced they were looking for another driver, then 4-1 and 2-1 was taken immediately prior to the news breaking that he would be racing again. Coral also took bets at 20-1 and 14-1 for him to win a race and take a pole position.
A Schuey return was already a poor result for us, but with a rush of money from a few obviously well informed punters just prior to the news breaking we feel like we stalled on the grid and watched the punters drive off with our cash, said Corals Gary Burton, we just hope now that he doesnt go on to secure a pole position and win a race or the damage will be considerably more.
Ferrari are still odds against to win a race this season at 11-10, and 4-6 not to.
