PUNTERS continue to back Amir Khan ahead of his maiden world title fight, according to Ladbrokes.

The Olympic silver medalist (4/11) has attracted over 75 per cent of all wagers. Reigning WBA light-welterweight champion Andreas Kotelnik is 2/1 for the bout.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: “Punters are in no doubt that Britain will have another world champion very soon.”

Khan is 33/1 to win the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award.
