France's BR Gaming signs with AALE for six-nation Africa deal

French online and offline gambling business BR Gaming has signed a six-country lottery deal with the African Association of State Lotteries (AALE).

The venture, called Africamillions, will be launched in November in six African countries, then extended to a further nine at an as yet unspecified date. The company would not specify which of Africa’s 26 French-speaking countries it will operate in.

The project has been launched using a €15m cash injection from Alpha Private Equity Fund 5. It will be operated by BR subsidiary BR Gaming Africa, which is chaired by former French football player Basile Boli, and the technology will be supplied by Elyon Services.

In other African news recently, Dragonfish signed a deal with Phumelela Gold Enterprises (PGE) in May to supply the South African pari mutuel operator with a sportsbook.
