Casino employee to face chip theft charges

A casino pit boss will be accused of theft after she was allegedly caught on a surveillance camera stuffing gambling chips in her underwear.

Oracle Casino pit boss Annabel Attard, 30, will soon be charged with putting 10 chips worth €250 in her underwear while working at the roulette table. A pit boss looks after the employees who work in a casino pit and watches the floormen, who, in turn, supervise table game dealers. Ms Attard, from Lija, was allegedly caught on a surveillance camera hiding the chips.

Police summons have been filed and a magistrate is due to be appointed shortly.

Police Inspector Paul Bond will be prosecuting.
