Market conditions prompt new-look Clarion Gaming

Clarion Events has announced a strategic restructuring of its Gaming Division which involves the closure of its U.S. office in St Charles and the new positioning of its leading conference division within the broader Clarion Events conference group.

Closely mirroring the industry’s core markets, the relocation of all gaming activity to the London and Singapore offices will allow the dedicated gaming team to offer ever more flexible and strong support to its customers in their key markets around the world.

Mark Walker, Global Head of Conferences at Clarion Gaming, says: “As the market and companies we serve rapidly change, it is exciting to be in a position to reflect their needs and put ourselves in a stronger position to serve them. We’re delighted to retain an experienced and passionate team in gaming, while adding the 100+ years of conferences experience brought to us through Clarion Events conferences management team. I’m confident that our delegates, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and media partners will all benefit from this change.”

He adds “The move will not affect the European iGaming Congress (EiG), as this will continue to be run by the existing team in London. We have very high expectations for it, and on current projections we look forward to providing an even more valuable and larger event than last year.” EiG takes place 15-17th September in Copenhagen this year.

Becoming part of the wider Clarion Events conference group will provide more investment, resources and experience to the existing team. This will help them in their continued mission of serving the industry with unrivalled learning, knowledge sharing and networking events

Clarion Events have a confex portfolio of over 70 leading events with dedicated offices in London, Cheltenham, Amsterdam, Cape Town, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore. They have a global reputation for producing market-leading events of exceptional quality.

Russell Wilcox, Chief Executive, Conferences says of the restructure: “We’re extremely pleased that the gaming team has joined our expanding portfolio. They’ve achieved a fantastic amount over the past few years, and we’re now in a position to offer the extra resources and experience to allow them to grow to the next level of excellence in their service to the gaming market.”

Mark Walker will continue to run the gaming conference business and is in the process of enhancing his team in order to continue to deliver what are widely regarded as the best b2b conference events in the gaming industry
