Ronaldo 1/2 To Play 90 Minutes Against Wigan
Following Cristiano Ronaldo’s petulant reaction to being subbed during Manchester United’s 2-0 derby win over Manchester City, Sky Bet quote 1/2 that the Portuguese winger plays 90 minutes against Wigan on Wednesday (6/4 not to play 90 mins). Ronaldo is 4/6 still to be a United player at the start of next season (11/10 to be elsewhere).
United could win the title this weekend if they avoid defeat against Wigan on Wednesday and Sky Bet quote 1/4 that they are crowned champions on Saturday. It’s 9/2 that the Premier League title is decided on the final day of the season.
After scoring a superb goal in Sunday’s derby, Carlos Tevez is 4/5 with Sky Bet to start next season with United and 10/1 to join local rivals Manchester City this summer. The Argentine striker expects to be elsewhere next season and Sky Bet make Real Madrid his most likely destination at 11/4.
Arsenal’s 4-1 home defeat to Chelsea, which consigned them to fourth place in the league, ended a miserable week for the Gunners. Sky Bet make them 2/1 to win a trophy in 2009/10 and 4/11 to fail to win any silverware for a fifth successive season. Wenger is 1/2 still to be at the helm at the Emirates at the end of next season (6/4 not to see out 2009/10 season as Arsenal manager).
After conceding four goals at Liverpool last month, three against Manchester United last Tuesday and four to Chelsea on Sunday, Wenger admits that the Gunners need to improve their defence. Sky Bet are offering odds on how many goals Arsenal will ship against Manchester United on Saturday, quoting 2/1 for them to concede three or more goals.
With victory over Arsenal, Chelsea secured a top three Premier League finish and automatic qualification to the Champions League group stages. Sky Bet have lengthened the odds of AC Milan Coach, Carlo Ancelotti, replacing Guus Hiddink as manager to 11/10 (from 4/6) following claims that he will continue in charge at the San Siro next season. Interim manager, Guus Hiddink, has overseen nine victories from Chelsea’s last 11 league games and is 5/1 to change his mind and stay on permanently at Stamford Bridge. Former Barcelona boss, Frank Rijkaard is also 5/1 to be at the helm at the start of next season.
