BUTTON'S TITLE ODDS CUT AS FIA GIVE ALL CLEAR
Bookmaker Coral has cut the odds on Jenson Button winning the F1 Drivers' championship to 5-4 (from 6-4), following today's ruling from the FIA Court of Appeal that the design of his Brawn GP car is legal.
"Jenson Button and Brawn proved in the first two races that they had the car to win the title, and now the doubts over its legality have been removed, the rival teams will find it very hard in the short term to close the gap," said Coral's David Stevens.
"In fact, Brawn's advantage may even be increased as the other teams look to play catch up on the design front," added Stevens.
Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton is 10-1 with Coral to retain his title, while Brawn GP are even favourites to win the Constructors' crown.
