BOXER Ken Egan’s first appearance back in the public eye is expected to be at the Peter Mark/VIP Style Awards tomorrow but bookies Paddy Power are betting 1/2 that the Olympic hero sidesteps the glitzy bash.

The Clondalkin local is nominated for the ‘Most Dapper’ award and if he decides to brave the glare of the camera’s the chances of him actually winning the style stakes look very good indeed with Paddy Power making him their 6/4 second favourite behind Westlife’s Nicky Byrne.

Paddy Power are also betting on who will arrive on Kenny’s arm should the southpaw decide to attend the celebrity laden bash in the Shelbourne.

Egan’s media consultant Liam Gaskin is the bookies 9/4 favourite to escort Kenny while mammy Maura is the 3/1 second favourite to accompany her son to the glam event. It’s an unlikely 10/1 that Kenny will surface with controversial Irish army Lieutenant Collette McBarron and an even more unlikely 1000/1 that the handsome sportsman turns up with troubled pop star Britney Spears!
