Avram Grant is odds on to succeed Tony Adams in the Fratton Park hotseat, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

The Israeli, who enjoyed a short reign as technical director at Portsmouth, is just 10/11 to be installed at the club.

Former West Ham and Charlton boss Alan Curbishley is next in the betting at 5/2 with Glenn Hoddle at 8/1.

Ladbrokes spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "Given previous connections and his availability it is hard to see Pompey going for anyone else, unless financial restrictions mean they go in house."
