Arsenal have been slashed to 16/1, from 33/1, to win the Premiership after inflicting a 2-1 defeat on Chelsea yesterday.

The Blues are now even money favourites, from 4/6. Manchester United, who beat bitter rivals Manchester City courtesy of a Wayne Rooney goal, are 9/4 to retain their crown.

Liverpool are 11/4 to end their championship wait.

Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: “Arsenal was a shocking result and the 4/1 about the Gunners was very popular. And coupled with United it’s fair to say that it was a super Sunday for punters.”

The Red Devils are 7/2 favourites for the FA Cup, whilst giant killers Histon- 9/2 to beat Leeds before kick off- are 5000/1 to lift the trophy.

Weinberg added: “Apart from Histon fans, nobody gave them a chance and that was reflected in the betting.”

Paul Ince is 5/2 to be the next manager to leave his position after his side slipped to yet another defeat. Roy Keane is 7/4 favourite.
