The letter “M” is the moniker of James Bond’s boss, and Google reveals it to be the title of a 1931 Fritz Lang film, in addition it comprises half the name of a popular American candy snack...

However for the purpose of this blog we will take “M” in one of its oldest forms, as the Roman numeral for one thousand.
