Jose Maria Olazabal is the 6/4 favourite to replace Nick Faldo as the next European Ryder Cup captain, according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.
Faldo, who has been criticised for his decision-making in Europe's 16.5-11.5 defeat in Kentucky, is 4/1 to retain the captaincy, the same price as Welshman Ian Woosnam.
Of the two big names who failed to make the team that lost at Valhalla, Colin Montgomerie is priced at 10/1 and Darren Clarke the 33/1 outsider.
Ladbrokes are quoting even money about either side winning at Celtic Manor in two years time, with the tie priced at 10/1.
Spokesman Robin Hutchison said: "It will be surprise if Faldo does it again and they might look to bring someone in who has been there and done it."
