After the revelations about William Hill’s discovery of staff on the payroll in the Israel office for jobs including fish feeder, hair dresser and tea boy, it just goes to show you have to be on top of your staff, especially if they are working remotely!
The iGaming recruitment market can be colourful, in some part, due to its international standing. We take job specs on a weekly basis from Eastern Europe, Scandinavia, France, Malta, Gibraltar etc, but after last week’s news stories surely there are lots of online gaming firms wondering just what their remote staff are doing! Now don’t get me wrong, we have placed some great candidates into regionally based positions who have a good deal of autonomy, but that could all come crashing down thanks to a few rogue traders operating for one of the biggest names in the industry.
For those of you working remotely, look out, perhaps your boss is going over the ins and outs of your expenses and payroll as I write this blog. With the shake-up taking place at William Hill’s offices in Israel, it is surely only a matter of time until the other big hitters of the iGaming market take a look into the operational efficiency of their numerous remote offices.
On other news closer to home, we have just recruited a fish feeder for our London office...
