My first blog for the Hyperion website. This has been highly anticipated, and was even mentioned in the ‘Other Gossip’ section of BBCs Gossip Column today.

It’s been a very interesting time in the industry recently. The obvious story to speak about is Full Tilt’s European shut down following its license suspension by Alderney. I ran a search on Tweetdeck just as the news broke, and the sheer amount of people worried about their money was phenomenal. For once I was glad not to have any money in my own account. I have not decided yet if I will be visiting Full Tilt’s tables again, but it must be a distressing time for people across in Dublin.

On a more personal note, I’ve got the day off work tomorrow, and am off to Newmarket racecourse. I’m not sure many of you will know this exists, but I will make sure I revisit the hallowed turf that is ‘The Hyperion Lawn’ at Newmarket. I will let you know in my next blog how I get on punting wise.

Not too much sport this weekend, but I do have a tip to finish with; Vettel Hatrick (Pole, Win, Fastest Lap) is 5.5 with Paddy Power. I backed this successfully in the European Grand Prix at 6.5, and I expect him to come close this weekend at Silverstone.
